DATA USAGE: TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Unless stated otherwise, the following are required/accepted forms of acknowledgement for use of data provided from the various equipment of the Centre for Atmospheric Research (CAR).

  1. TRODAN (Tropospheric Data Acquisition Network)

The results presented in this paper rely on TRODAN data collected and managed by the Centre for Atmospheric Research, National Space Research and Development Agency, Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Anyigba, Nigeria. We thank the Centre for Atmospheric Research and their partners for promoting high standards of atmospheric observatory practice as well as the Federal Government of Nigeria for continuous funding of the Nigerian Space programme (www.carnasrda.com).

  1. AMBER Magnetometer

The magnetometer in Abuja is operated under the umbrella of African Meridian B-field Education and Research (AMBER) of the Institute for Scientific Research, Boston College, USA. Maintenance and operation of the AMBER Magnetometer at the Space Environment Research Laboratory, Abuja has been supported by the Centre for Atmospheric Research using R & D fund from the Federal Government of Nigeria (www.carnasrda.com). PI for the project is Dr Endawoke Yizengaw.

  1. MAGDAS Magnetometer

This work was supported by JSPS Core-to-Core Program, B. Asia-Africa Science Platforms. Maintenance and operation of the MAGDAS magnetometer facility at the Space Environment Research Laboratory, Abuja has been supported by the Centre for Atmospheric Research using R & D fund from the Federal Government of Nigeria (www.carnasrda.com). Lastly, the MAGDAS/CPMN team at the International Center for Space Weather Science and Education, Kyushu University, Japan, is highly acknowledged. PI for the project is Dr Akimasa Yohikawa.

  1. Fabry-Perot interferometer (FPI)

The Fabry-Perot interferometer FPI installed in Abuja was deployed by the US National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) with US National Science Foundation (NSF) research grant. Maintenance and operation of the FPI at the Space Environment Research Laboratory, Abuja has been supported by the Centre for Atmospheric Research using R & D fund from the Federal Government of Nigeria (www.carnasrda.com). PI for the project is Dr Qian Wu.

  1. All-Sky Optical Imager

The airglow image data used in this work were obtained from the all-sky optical imager No. 5 of the Optical Mesosphere Thermosphere Imagers (OMTIs) provided by the Institute for Space-Earth Environmental Research (ISEE), Nagoya University. Maintenance and operation of the all-sky optical imager No. 5 at the Space Environment Research Laboratory, Abuja has been supported by the Centre for Atmospheric Research using R & D fund from the Federal Government of Nigeria (www.carnasrda.com). PI for the project is Prof. Kazuo Shiokawa.

  1. Septentrio and Scintillation GNSS Receivers

GNSS data used in this work were obtained from receiver provided by the Institute for Space-Earth Environmental Research (ISEE), Nagoya University, Japan. Maintenance and operation of the Septentrio and Scintillation GNSS Receivers at the Space Environment Research Laboratory, Abuja has been supported by the Centre for Atmospheric Research using R & D fund from the Federal Government of Nigeria (www.carnasrda.com). PIs for the project are Dr. Yuichi Otsuka and Prof. Kazuo Shiokawa.

  1. UBX GNSS Receivers

We appreciate the Centre for Atmospheric Research for providing GNSS data used in this work. Deployment, maintenance, and operation of the UBX GNSS receivers has been supported by the Centre for Atmospheric Research using R & D fund from the Federal Government of Nigeria (www.carnasrda.com).

  1. HF Radio Transceiver

The HF radio data used in this work were obtained from transceivers jointly deployed by Centre for Atmospheric Research, Nigeria; the Institute of Radio Astronomy, National Academy of Science, Ukraine; in collaboration with the Telecommunication and Information & Communication Technology for Development (T/ICT4D) Lab of the International Center for Theoretical Physics, Italy. Maintenance and operation of the transceivers are supported by the Centre for Atmospheric Research and the University of Lagos, Nigeria. PI for the project is Dr. Anton S. Kashcheyev.
